The Rough Habit Plate is a Group 3 Australian Thoroughbred horse race for horses aged three years old, over a distance of 2,020 metres.
It is held annually at Doomben Racecourse in Brisbane, Queensland in May. It was named in honour of Rough Habit, a New Zealand-bred Thoroughbred racehorse who won 11 Group One (G1) races on both sides of the Tasman Sea.
In 2011 the Rough Habit Plate prize-money was distributed as follows: 1st $80,000, 2nd $25,000, 3rd $12,500, 4th $5,000.[1]
